Apiculture (API) Insurance

Save your sweet colony from bitterness

What is API?

Apiculture insurance is a specialized coverage designed to protect beekeepers from financial losses related to their beekeeping operations. It covers risks such as damage or loss of hives, bee colonies, and lower honey production due to lack of rainfall.

The insurance works by providing financial compensation up to 90% based on a policy that includes a base coverage amount set by Risk Management Agency (RMA), with additional coverage that can be customized according to conditions of the colony and beekeeper's needs.

Premiums are typically paid annually, but not required until September of the following year, depending on the policy, and claims require documentation of losses.

This insurance helps beekeepers manage risk, ensure business continuity, and stabilize income by offering a safety net against unforeseen events.
